You will have to do the following
- Print the infinitives of the Irregular and the Regular verbs onto the same colour card and cut out i.e. blue
- Print the Irregular past forms onto a second colour card and cut out. i.e.. red
- Print the Regular past forms onto a third colour card and cut out. i.e.. green
To Play - Each group of students (groups should be between 2 and 4 students) is given a complete set of cards.
- All cards are placed face down
- Student 1 picks up a blue card, which has an infinitive written.
- The student must decide if the verb is regular or irregular and pick up a card (red or green) according to what they think. They must pick up the past form as the same verb of which they have picked up the infinitive form. If they do not do this they must replace both cards face down with the other cards. If they do choose the correct card, they keep both the infinitive and the past form cards.
