DOLPHINS - MAY 2015
How about making a pack of Happy Families with your classes. You can practise "have got" and Jungle Animals, just to give an example. All you need is a set of vocabulary with about eight words.
You can find one with six animals on the wiki at
http://bcnprimary.pbworks.com/w/browse/#view=ViewFolder¶m=ANIMALS
- Print the pictures of the vocabulary onto card. (Multiply the number of colours by the number of groups)
- Divide the class into groups, one for each colour (four to six colours ) and get them to colour in ALL the animals on the sheet in their colour
- You should now have sets of cards (ie: one yellow sheet, one red sheet, one blue sheet, one green sheet is a set)
- Cut up the cards.
- Play "Happy Families". Kids in groups of about four. To get a family they should have the same animal in all the colours. ie.a red zebra, a blue zebra, a green zebra and a yellow zebra)
- They will practise "have got" question form, animals, and colours.
