The story of "The Old Woman who swallowed a fly" is a great one for teaching animals. Rebecca M has sent some good worksheets. You glue the woman and her stomach together and the animals are stuck inside the stomach !!!

.   And also some worksheets from Rebecca, which she has made herself, to use as part to a project on "Goodnight Zoo". The cages must be cut out on three sides to make doors, and then stuck on another A4 sheet, so that the doors have "insides", students colour the cages the appropriate colours according to the book, and stick the right animals in the cage.

All of this can be found on the Primary wiki at www.bcnprimary.pbworks.com in the storybook section.

If you are doing body parts you have some good songs.....the obvious "Head and Shoulders" of which you have a good version at Super Simple songs
..or also "If you're happy", which you don't really need a version on Internet to sing along with, and you can make up your own actions using the parts of the body, (blink your eyes, wiggle your ears, open your mouth, nod your head, shake your body, wiggle your nose etc ) but if you want a change of focus you can go to ....
or go to
Elf Learning Kids Body Parts song - "This is Me"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkHQ0CYwjaI (vocabulary: head, finger, nose, head, arm, leg, foot) I especially like this one !
And another great one is "One Little Finger"
And a colour game in Three in a Tree A

And a cut out and colour activity for parts of the face.

which can also be found on the wiki at http://bcnprimary.pbworks.com/w/browse/#view=ViewFolder&param=PARTS%20OF%20THE%20

The Train Colour Song

This is a fun song for children that already know the colours. Use the pause button as soon as a train comes into the side of the screen and children shout out the colours. It's good fun !! Then you can have a competition to see if anyone in the class can say the words of the song as quickly as the first part of the song.
